Off-grid and hybrid solar for the Yorke Peninsula

What power's like out here
The Yorke Peninsula is on SA Power Networks' network. The lines run a long way down the peninsula, and the bottom end feels every fault up the line.
Storms off both gulfs drop the power along the coast. A weekender at Wallaroo and a working farm at Minlaton are not the same job, so the design starts with who is on the property.
Sun is strong and winters are mild. Harvest brings a short peak in shed and plant loads.

Common questions
Do you install off-grid solar on the Yorke Peninsula?
Yes. Minlaton, Maitland, Yorketown, Wallaroo, Kadina, Moonta and the wider peninsula are inside our South Australia area. We design it, a vetted accredited SA installer installs it.
Can you design a hybrid for a Copper Coast weekender?
Yes. Plenty of Wallaroo and Moonta houses keep the grid connection and add a battery for evening loads and storm outages. Tell us how often the house is lived in, because it changes the sizing.
Is off-grid cheaper than connecting a rural block on the Yorke?
Often the grid connection price for a new rural block covers a complete stand-alone system with a generator for backup, and there's no daily supply charge afterwards. The design compares both paths with the working shown.
