Solar and batteries for farms, pump sites and businesses running on diesel
Diesel was 263.1 cents a litre at the Sydney terminal gate on 21 October 2026, before delivery to your shed (AIP, checked 21 Oct 2026). Every hour a genset or diesel pump runs, you pay that price again.
We design solar and battery systems in-house in Lismore, NSW. Accredited partner installers build them across NSW, South East Queensland and South Australia, and we take on sites further afield where a partner can cover them.

What we design for
Bore, stock water and irrigation pumping
Solar runs pumps in daylight, when most water gets moved. A battery or a small genset covers the rest. More on solar water pumping.
Dairies, cold rooms and packing sheds
Milk vats, compressors and cold rooms draw power around the clock. Batteries carry the night load so the solar you make at midday gets used.
Remote, mining and industrial sites
For sites on a genset, a hybrid keeps the generator as backup and cuts its run hours.
Grid-connected businesses
We size solar and storage from your interval data to cut demand charges.
How we work out whether it pays
- You send fuel invoices, generator run hours or 12 months of interval data.
- We work out what each kWh costs you today. For diesel that includes fuel, servicing and the fuel tax credit you claim back.
- We design a system and show the cost, any rebates and finance plainly.
- If the numbers don't stack up, we tell you, and point you to the cheapest fix, even if it's a better pump or a tariff change.
Rebates and finance
Small businesses can use the federal Cheaper Home Batteries discount on batteries from 5 to 100 kWh, and solar certificates apply up to 100 kW (DCCEEW, checked 21 Oct 2026). Grid-connected NSW businesses have a separate battery discount from 1 September 2026. Off-grid sites aren't eligible for that one. Full detail by state is on our commercial rebates page.
Finance is available through Solaris Finance.
South Australia
Worked design examples sit on Learn, next to a plain-language note on why commercial storage can still make sense on SA tariffs and weak feeders. A live grant is never assumed.

FAQs
Can solar and batteries replace a diesel generator?
For many sites, yes for most of the running hours. Most remote designs keep the generator as backup for long cloudy stretches, so it runs far less. Your load profile decides how far you can go.
Does the federal battery rebate cover businesses?
Yes. The Cheaper Home Batteries Program covers households, small businesses and community organisations, on residential and non-residential premises, on and off grid (business.gov.au, checked 21 Oct 2026).
Where do you install?
Our designs are built by accredited partner installers across NSW, South East Queensland and South Australia. Further away, we check whether a partner can take your site.
What do I send for a diesel bill review?
Fuel invoices for the last 12 months, generator or pump run hours if you log them, and a list of the big loads. Interval data from your retailer helps on grid sites.

A motel with its own power

Sigenergy storage on the wall, a car charging beside it, and a roof that finally earns something.
Accommodation suits solar and storage almost perfectly: rooms, laundry and hot water draw steadily right through the day, the heaviest half-hour lands in the evening when the sun has gone, and the car park is already there. Storage covers the gap between the two.
Finance, without the circus
You won't find an interest-free banner on this site. Commercial plant deserves adult finance. For businesses that want the system working now and their capital working elsewhere, we work with Solaris Finance, specialists in commercial energy equipment, so the system starts paying its way from the first sunny invoice while the balance sheet keeps its shape.
